Tonight Alvechurch are in Southern League Cup action as they take on Stratford Town. Here is everything you need to know about the game.
How have both teams been playing?
Alvechurch have picked up consecutive league wins, either side of a cup defeat to Highgate United, with victories over Barwell and St Ives Town. Despite only winning by one goal score-lines in both those games they have played fast, high tempo football which have impressed the Church faithful. Manager Ian Long is dealing with some injury problems at the moment but has a strong enough squad, and some good youngsters, to call upon if needed. Church can also come into the game with confidence, having beaten Stratford Town the last time these two sides met; with Aaron Llyod's goal sealing an FA Cup win in September.
When Stratford lost to the Church last month they were in a bit of a crisis, with then manager Darren Byfield re-signing a few days prior to the game. Since then however, the club has had a managerial shake-round bringing in a number of new coaches to support new manager Thomas Baillie. This decision has worked, with Stratford yet to lose a game yet forming a five match unbeaten run; meaning they will be coming into the game looking to extend that run.
Who are both sides top goalscorers?
Kieran Cook, Tom Turton, and Josh March are all Alvechurch's top goalscorers with three goals this season.
Meanwhile, Michael Taylor is Stratford's top goalscorer with seven goals this season.
Where is the game being played and what time is kick-off?
The game is being played at Lye Meadow and kick-off is at 7:45pm.
How much are tickets?
Tickets are priced at £7 for adults, £5 for 65+, £3 for students and 13-17 year olds.
