Alvechurch suffered their first defeat of the season; as Coalville Town produced a superb second half display to earn the three points.
Ian Long's side matched their opponents for the opening 50 minutes; but struggled in the second half as goals from Andrew Wright and Tolani Omotola scored to earn the home side the points.
The first half was a very even game; with both sides sharing possession and battling for the ball in midfield. Coalville created some half chances with Tom McGlinchey firing wide and Tim Berridge heading over.
Alvechurch then ended the half strongly, creating two decent goal scoring chances, but both Josh Ezwele and Ryan Windwood were both denied both denied by Coalville keeper Max Smith-Varnam.
The second half started off similar to the first, but then Coaville earnt a penalty. Church keeper Matt Sargeant had saved a penalty on Tuesday night, but had no luck this time as Wright scored.
This led to Alvechurch pushing forward; and nearly earning an equaliser though Josh March. However, his shot hit the bar as the home side survived. With time running out Omotola then slotted home to earn Coalville their first win of the season and condemn Alvechurch to their first defeat.
Having matched Royston Town and Tamworth previously, Alvechurch will be disappointed with this showing but will look to bounce back against rivals Bromsgrove Sporting in the FA Cup on Saturday.
