Church Play-off hopes hit as Barwell hit 5

Game changer was Zack Fosters sending off in 38' for denying a goal scoring opportunity
Manager Ian Long made 3 changes to the starting line-up that beat St Ives Town 2-0 on Saturday, with Jamie Willets replacing Kyle Morrison in the centre of defence, Mitch Botfield coming in for Tom Tonks and Andre Landell replacing Kieran Cook up front.
Barwell took the lead in the 15' when Brady Hickey scored off the post.
After a shaky start, Church grew into the game, but a game changing decision by referee Scott Tallis in the 38', handed the impetus back to Barwell, when the influential Zack Foster was shown red for denying a goal scoring opportunity.
Barwell took full advantage with further goals from Nigel Julien (49') and Jai Rowe (59'), and despite pulling on back in the 66' from Jamie Willets, further goals from Brady Hickey (75') and Sam Hollis (81'), completed the rout and put a big dent in Church's play-off hopes, whilst asing Barwells own relegation fears.
An important 2 games next with Church at home to Hitchin Town on Saturday, before playing Leiston home next Tuesday, which will be missed by Foster for his 1 game suspension.
