Alvechurch fell to a defeat to Rushall Olympic in horrible conditions at Dale Lane.
The game started off very even, with Alvechurch playing some neat passing football without creating anything. Rushall themselves were restricted to shot's from outside the area with Mitchell Clarke and Shaquille Leachman-Whittingham firing off target.
Alvechurch then missed a golden chance to take the lead; when Kyle Perry flicked the ball on for the Javia Roberts but he could only poke the ball past the post. This miss proved costly as the home side took the lead on the stroke of half-time. A cross into the area found Rushall top goalscorer Jonathan Letford and he headed past Joe Slinn and into the net.
Alvechurch started the second half with Jordan Goddard firing a free-kick wide, before Alvechurch made a mess of clearing the ball from a corner allowing Orrin Pendley to head home from a yard out. Manager Darren Byfield brought on WBA loanee's Finley Thorndike and Stanley Asomugha to try and change the game and saw his side impress from that point.
Kevin Monterio was brought down by Reece Mitchell when through on goal; resulting in a red card for the left-back. Rushall keeper Flatt was then on hand to deny Thorndike twice, while the youngster also fired over with a 25-yard dipping strike.
Kyle Perry then did finally have the ball in the net; but it was ruled out for offside concluding another difficult day at the office for Alvechurch.
