A stunning first half nap hand for Church ended this game as a contest, and the inevitable slackening off in the second period allowed the visitors to save face with a consolation goal.

48 seconds: 1-0 : Price comes well out of his goal to head away a long through ball, but the bal;l drops to Waldron 30 yards out who returns it with interest into an empty net to give Church a perfect start.

4 mins: 2-0 : Church work the ball well through midfield, and McLintock is on the end of the move to lash the ball low into the corner from 20 yards.

17 mins : 3-0 : Another flowing move from Church and the ball is threaded diagonally to McLintock on the edge of the box, and after a feint inside, the Church midfielder shoots low past Price for his second of the evening.

32 mins : 4-0 : A free kick 25 yards out for Church, and Dias steps up to plant the ball in the back of the net with Price well beaten.

44 mins : 5-0 : A McLintock effort from 15 yards is blocked on his line by Price, and Waldron is on hand to poke the ball in from close range for his second goal of the game.

At 3-0 Church had two further golden chances to add to their tally before they finally did. Firstly, on 25 minutes, on the break, Dias advances through midfield, and fires low and just wide from 25 yards. Three minutes later Sephton drills the ball into the box from out wide, and after being deflected to the near post, Waldron pounces to threaten the Stourbridge goal, but Price saves at point blank range to keep the score at three.

The second half was somewhat more disjointed as Church took their ease a little.
On 54 the visitors went close to pulling a goal back when after a Jezeph punch the ball is returned against the Church bar, but they did fins a way through on 58 minutes when a Moran cross from wide right was headed in at the far post by Gibson.
Final insult for Stourbridge was a red card for Rowe-Turner after he picked up his second yellow card – his second dismissal in successive games!
