Pathfinder work in roughly 25 schools, mainly in South Birmingham offering sustained, relational support to children and families facing complex adversity and multiple social issues (like poverty, domestic abuse, mental ill health, housing issues, and undiagnosed SEND). 

The Birmingham-based company promotes 'Shared Authority' by encouraging families to build peer support networks and advocate for changes in the systems that affect them. 

Alvechurch FC have supported Pathfinder for the last few years, and are looking to develop, promote and strengthen the partnership in both directions.

Recently, we collectively had a celebration day for the start of the partnership at The Hayes, and the Core Team Associates (Pathfinder parent volunteers) have begun holding regular meetings.

The Core Team Associates at Pathfinder have gone to help a parent who was struggling to do repairs and help decorate in their house.  In the last few weeks, they have also cleared a couple of skips full of garden waste from Hawkesley Primary school so that area in the school can be utilised again.
