Church came from two goals down after just under half an hour to claim a spot in Round 3 of the Senior Cup, and a possible visit to either Tamworth or Darlaston.

It looked rather gloomy for Church as they first conceded a free kick goal after just 5 minutes, and on 28 minutes the Church defence failed to deal with a lofted ball into the box, and the goal was smuggled in from close range at the second attempt.
The first goal came via a deflected free kick from the edge of the box, with Burgess rifling a shot low into the far corner. It was a frustrating goal to concede after the ball was given away cheaply just outside the box, and Bavanganga was drawn into a foul in trying to retrieve the situation.
And despite dominating possession for long spells, the home side found a second when Cockerell found his close range effort go in after the defence had been too hesitant.

A shot from Cockerell was blocked on 31 after he capitalised on stolen possession to find himself through on goal as the home side enjoyed a better spell of possession, but Church were right back in the game on 35 when a Willis free kick from the corner of the box was headed on at the far post by Bavanganga from close in.

And it could have been level on the stroke of half time when Clifford cleverly wins a corner when under pressure, and Bavanganga connects again with a header that id cleared off the line after coming off the underside of the bar, with plenty of claim that it had crossed the line.

It took Church only five minutes of the second half to draw level. The visitors work the ball well across the face of the box, and Ngandu ultimately provides a deft cross to the back post, and Dugan is on hand to head the ball back in off the underside of the bar; his first for the club.

The joy and relief is short lived as the home side go straight down the other end following the kick off, and an angled ball into the heart of the area is met by Lund who applies the decisive finish from close range.

Church quickly settle again into their dominant role, and begin to look increasingly dangerous.
Another Bavanganga headed effort is cleared off the line before a threaded ball from Ngandu find Dugan deep in the Boldmere box, and the Church front man is felled in the process of turning on goal, and the referee awards a penalty.
Obadeyi strokes the spot kick in to level the scores at 3-3 with thirteen minutes remaining.

More missed chances for Church follow, and a delicious through ball from Obadeyi finds Willis, but he toes the ball on the run just wide as the keeper comes off his line to challenge.

Church are smelling a winner, and it duly arrives in the second minute of stoppage time after Schwarm wins possession 30 yards out, Perry subsequently gathers up the loose ball, and steers it goalward whilst falling to see it fly into the top corner for 4-3.

Schwarm himself puts the icing on the scoreline in the sixth minute of stoppage time when he gets on the end of an angled ball in to the box from Obadeyi to steer the ball in from close range and settle the tie beyond any doubt.
