Alvechurch face their ninth away game in twelve outings as we make the short trip to the UK Electrical Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Having picked up two wins from two games in his tenure so far, Tim Flowers has settled in nicely and now he takes his Alvechurch team to his former employers when we face Bromsgrove Sporting in a local derby at the weekend.

THE TAIL OF FORMS:
Starting with the home side, the Rouslers have endured a difficult start to the campaign but have lost only one of their last four outings picking up four points in the league in that time. A 0-0 draw with Leiston was quickly followed up with eight goals in the Worcestershire Senior Cup against Pershore Town. Incidentally, should The Church progress past Stourbridge in the quarter-final tie in December, Bromsgrove would be our semi-final opponents.
The hosts then backed up their impressive mid-week win in the cup with a much-needed and morale boosting 3-0 win over an in-form Barwell side to breathe new life into their season. Following on from now three games unbeaten, they went down 1-0 against AFC Sudbury, the same score-line Alvechurch suffered at the MEL Group Stadium.
However, Bromsgrove will be well and truly up for it as they look to make it three wins in a row at home in all competitions and use that momentum to continue to turn their season around.
For the away team on Saturday, as most of the fans know. We recently had to make the tough decision to part ways with James Fry, and now new manager Tim Flowers managed to put an end to the four-game losing run in the league last time out as we picked up all three points at Lye Meadow against Bedford Town courtesy of a first goal of the season from the towering Archie Crowther.
The league win was then followed up with a professional display in the Birmingham Senior Cup as we sailed into the third round of the competition thanks to goals from Sam Perry, Ammar Dyer, and our Centre of Excellence break-out star Jaelon West, who netted his first goal for the club on Tuesday on his full senior debut.
As we approach Saturday, Alvechurch will be looking to make it back-to-back wins in the league for the first time since September, when we went on a three-game 1-0 victory run against Hitchin Town, Redditch United and Halesowen Town.
TEAM NEWS FOR CHURCH:
For the visiting side, they will be without Omari Sterling-James - who misses out due to a three-game suspension having received a straight red card in Saturday's 1-0 win over Bedford Town.
Brad Stretton is closing in on a return to play after he suffered a broken wrist in a 1-0 defeat at AFC Sudbury at the beginning of November. He could be fit for Saturday's derby. Long-term absentees Dan Sweeney and Josh Dugmore are the only two nursing serious injury issues as they continue their rehabilitation process and hopefully not too long before we see them back in action. Dylan Allen-Hadley is the only other concern, but is steadily making his way back having suffered a hamstring injury in the 1-0 defeat at home to St. Ives on October 19th.
Church will be strengthened by the returns of on-loan West Bromwich Albion Goalkeeper Ronnie Hollingshead, West Bromwich Albion Midfielder Matt Richards, Walsall FC Striker Charlie Wragg, and many other regular first-team players at the weekend having missed out for Tuesday night's win at Highgate United.
For those wondering, we can officially confirm the exit of Charlie Farr, who signed for the Club on October 8th from Brentford B. But, he exits Alvechurch and we would like to wish him all the very best for the future.
