It's a bit early to label a game " must win", but any game against a side in the mirebin the bottom eight, with Church in a relatively advantageous position games and points wise, it's more like "preferably don't lose" .

There will undoubtedly be lots of twists and turns before the curtain comes down, and there are definitely a host of winnable games to come, with Church still to play Stourbridge again, as well as Sudbury, Stamford, St Ives, Royston and Barwell, who are all in the mix.

There was a fairly nondescript opening quarter of this game.

It took pretty much to the 20 minute mark for there to be any noteworthy incident. A free kick from the visitors is floated in from 30 yards out, and Reeves heads over at the far post.

For Church it took until the 28 minute mark before Dugmore whips the ball in from a wide position, Abbey connects at the far post to steer he ball back into the central goalmouth area, and Guinan looks to connect with a decisive touch to divert the ball in but is inches away.

A minute later, at the other end, an inswinging Stourbridge corner comes back off the Church front post,

A poor quality first half comes to an end without any further significant goal threatening action, and the first fort-five minutes end goalless.

Church press afresh at the beginning of the second half. On 56 minutes Guinan flicks the ball on from the edge of the box, and Reeves almost puts the ball through his own goal in denying Wakefield a chance deep inside the box.

Guinan is involved again as he shoots on the turn from eight yards, but just over.
The game turns sour on a careless moment when Pavey is tripped as he tracks with the ball into the Church box. He takes the ensuing spot kick himself and strokes the ball down the middle to beat Evans.

Becomes worse with six minutes remaining when a slip lets in Brazier one on pone with Evans, and he rounds the Church keeper to steer the ball into an empty net.

Church carve out a goal of their own as the clock runs down to two minutes remaining as a Flick on by Miles finds Ilesanmi sliding in at the far post to steer the ball in.
Too little too late as it transpires, and Church have to take the loss on the chin for now.
